Viv Anthony | Basel, Switzerland

Viv has more than 20 years experience in high-energy, cutting-edge research and development in the crop protection and seeds industries. She led development of the world’s largest agricultural fungicide through to launch and commercialisation and is the named inventor on over 25 patents.

As a former head of global regulatory affairs in agricultural biotechnology she has significant expertise in governmental affairs, international issues management, stewardship and communications.

At the inception of Syngenta in 2000, she successfully created the new product development function from the legacy companies of Novartis and Zeneca. She is well versed in managing the challenges of technology acquisitions and company mergers.

Viv has a PhD in Plant Pathology from the University of Wales, UK and a Master of Science degree in Business Administration from Boston University, USA.
